The Cover Combi System
technology has been designed, developed and patented by
Ambientalia S.r.l. for the aerobic stabilisation of organic materials or for the rapid compost maturation.
The waste organic portion (previously selected) is properly mixed with structuring material (wood chips) and put in a polyethylene
tubular container (Ambiotunnel), by the special Ambipress bagger. Thanks to the closed and modular surface of
Ambiotunnel,
the stabilisation can be directly performed in a asphalt or cemented yard or directly in the properly arranged dump.
The innovative system with air
recirculation at the bio-mass inlet and outlet prevents the leak of
odourgenic particles, gas and vapour, which are automatically taken and
conveyed to the mass being stabilised without creating environmental
problems.
The polyethylene Ambiotunnel
contains the biomass, the percolate and the gas created during the
bio-stabilisation of the biomass in a sealable envelope.
After the first treatment
stage the top of Ambiotunnel is properly opened and covered with
the exclusive Adsorbeco covers, which are wound on special motor-driven
equipment that winds and unwinds the cover and which is positioned on
the Ambitech technological side.
Thanks to the active
charcoal they contain, the Adsorbeco covers absorbs that minimum part of
gas and bad odour that is not sucked by the intake tubes in the upper
part of the tubular container.
The process is performed
outdoor, without creating any environmental impact problems, waste
dispersal by wind and uncontrolled losses of percolate.
The waste is stabilised by
means of forced ventilation. A ventilator blows air through the Ambiotunnel
and by means of punched tubes automatically inserted during the filling
stage. Four more tubes with calibrated holes are also present in order
to introduce water or percolate automatically. This ensures the proper
level of humidity in the mass during the first stabilisation stage.
The Ambiotunnels
have a 3.0 m diameter and their length, which may vary, is up to 50
metres. They can contain 3,000 to 5000 Kg. of material to be stabilised
per linear metre. (The maximum limit of Kg. per linear metre
depends on the type of material and on the humidity it contains).
The forward motion and the
limited size of Ambipress ensure easy manoeuvres in any areas
where Ambiotunnels are to be laid.
Once the biomass is fully
ensiled, the technical data are entered in the computer: type of process
(green waste & sludge, humid waste, humid sieved waste, etc.), weight of
the material put in the Ambiotunnel, length of the Ambiotunnel
and humidity of the material.
The Ambi control
system management and control software processes the data and starts the
process.
The start of the aerobic
process leads to a controlled increase in the temperature in the Ambiotunnel.
Controls
The whole process is
controlled by our exclusive Ambi control system software.
Temperature
3 PT100 probes positioned
in every bio-tunnel detect the temperature uninterruptedly. The
temperature is sent to the management and control system, which adjusts
the air flow of the ventilator by means of an inverter in order to
maintain the best operating conditions of the bio-stabilisation system
Humidity
A digital hygrometric probe
on the air intake leaving the biomass controls the humidity.
Oxygen
A digital probe on the air
intake from the biomass controls the oxygen. A software controlled
modulating valve keeps its proper concentration in the mass being
stabilised. The application of Cover Combi System is ideal both for the
composting systems (sludge, humid waste, etc) and for the biological
stabilisation of the organic fraction of the urban waste in the dump. |
